Ralph Rayner is an oceanographer and diver who has participated in many expeditions including two extensive visits to the northern region of the remote Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean. His oceanographic work has taken him to all of the world’s oceans including several recent trips to the Arctic. In addition to his diving activities Ralph is also a keen climber, speleologist, runner and light aircraft pilot.
Ralph holds a professorial research position at the London School of Economics and is a director of a number of companies specialising in ocean science and technology.
