Joanna Vestey’s career as an award-winning photographer has taken her to all four corners of the globe – from the Bering Straits to the war-torn Gaza Strip and from Ethiopia to Patagonia. Her work has appeared in national and international publications including Living Etc, House and Gardens, GQ, Geographical, Men’s Journal, Time, Der Spiegel, The Times and The Daily Telegraph.
She studied photography at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design and at Bezalel Academy, Jerusalem and has an MA in Social Anthropology from The School of Oriental and African Studies. Her work has won photographic awards, been exhibited widely and is held in several collections.
Her first book, Faces of Exploration, was published in 2006 to great acclaim. Her latest book Due South, Through Tropics and Polar Extremes is available now.
